No, Apple Pay does not require entering the physical card PIN for contactless payments.Instead, transactions are confirmed via biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) or device passcode.

This method replaces the traditional PIN and provides an additional level of security, as the actual card details are not shared with the merchant.

In the case of using an Apple Watch, payment is made as soon as the watch is unlocked and on the user's wrist—without additional card PIN confirmation.

To deactivate Apple Pay, open the Wallet app on your Apple device, select the card that is already activated, click on "Card Details,"and at the bottom of the screen, select "Remove This Card."

If Apple Pay is also activated on an Apple Watch, the same procedure needs to be followed through the watch settings, where the card can also be removed.

Payment via mobile or tablet:

To pay using Apple Pay, simply hold your device near the POS terminal at a point of sale that supports contactless payment with Mastercard or Visa cards.

If the device is not automatically recognized, double-click the Home button to activate Apple Pay.

When confirmation appears on the screen, your transaction is successfully completed.

Before the first use, you need to unlock your Apple Watch by entering the password you set.

For each subsequent transaction, double-click the Home button on the watch to activate Apple Pay, hold the watch near the POS terminal, and the transaction will automatically complete.

Additional security is provided by biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID) or a device passcode, which is mandatory for confirming each transaction.
