  • Possession of a mobile device that meets the technical requirements necessary for using the Google Pay service, specifically an Android operating system version 9.0 (Pie) or newer.
  •  NFC option enabled for contactless payments.

What are the steps to register for the Google Pay service?

If you already have an account with Raiffeisen Bank, it is enough to follow the steps and instructions for registering the service, and a visit to the bank is not required.

  1. Download the Google Wallet app from the Play Store and open it.
  2. Click on the "Add to Wallet" option and proceed to add your card following the provided steps.
  3. Confirm your identity by entering the code you received via SMS.

If you do not have an account with Raiffeisen Bank and wish to open one and activate the service, when submitting your application to open an account, select the digital service "Google Pay."

What are the steps for making a payment using Google Pay?

The merchant enters the transaction amount.

Hold your unlocked mobile phone with the NFC option enabled near the POS device.

When you hear the "beep" sound and receive the slip, the payment is completed.

When making a payment, you need to unlock your phone and hold it near the POS device (with the NFC option enabled). For online shopping, select Google Pay as the payment method (if the online store asks, choose the Mastercard card from the Google Wallet app) and confirm the payment by unlocking your device.

No, there are no fees or additional costs for using Google Pay.

High security protection is a characteristic of this service. When making a payment through Google Pay, a token is exchanged with the merchant instead of your actual card number. Your card details are not revealed at any stage of the payment, and unlocking your mobile phone is required for each transaction. Registering for the service is not possible unless some form of security (PIN, password, fingerprint, or facial recognition authentication) is set up on your phone.

Google Pay supports Mastercard cards issued by banks. There are no limits on the number of cards that can be added to Google Wallet. In your phone's settings, you can select a primary card for payments, and if you do not wish to pay with the primary card, you can change it as needed.

Cash withdrawal is possible at contactless ATMs. Just hold your mobile phone over the area marked for contactless transactions, enter your PIN, and continue with the cash withdrawal.
